But I want the Weight Loss NOW!

Patience My Friend

One of the biggest mis-conceptions about weight loss is the idea that it can happen in just 30 Days. I see it on magazines and articles everywhere. "Drop 30lbs in 30 Days" or "6 Pack Abs in Just 30 Days". Sure, it can happen for someone who is already in great shape, does a HARD CORE restricted diet, and already has abs to begin with. But the majority of us are not 10% body fat or less, willing to eat chicken and veggies every meal for 30 days, and do not have developed abs to start.

So How Long Will it Take?
Real, significant weight loss takes time, consistency, and most importantly patience. In my experience, the body lags 1-2 weeks from what you feel it should show. This means that if you have been working hard and eating well, and look in the mirror and don't see the results you expected, they will show in 1-2 weeks after. BUT the kicker is they will only be noticeable if you keep it up. This is where the patience come to play. Most people will give up, or think to themselves "Is my hard work not paying off"...THIS is when you have to fight through that feeling and keep going. I promise you won't disagree if become aware of this.

Healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. Not Including water weight. This means a healthy amount of weight loss in 1 month is about 4-8lbs. If you are already in decent shape, it tends to lean towards the lower end. When someone loses 15-20lbs in a month, it almost always comes back on right after the "short-cut to weight loss" was completed. Why? Because it was all water weight and not actual fat.

I challenge you to fight through that feeling of "Is my hard work paying off?" I promise you will NOT be disappointed AS long as you have patience and keep going. Think about the amount of time it took to get the shape you have now; 3, 4, 5 months of healthy living doesn't seem so long anymore does it ;)
